BIDEC – Black History Festival
March 27 - March 29
Black History Expo: it serves as a hub for creatives, businesses, development initiatives, and educational institutions exhibitions during the main festival. Through art exhibitions, business showcases, and panel discussions, the Expo highlights the intersections of creativity, tourism, commerce, community development and educational services of African and African Diaspora origins, tailored for the Global African and world markets. (Scheduled from 28 to 29 March 2025)
Black History Summit: is a high-level forum focused on the celebration and discussion of Black history, achievements, and challenges faced by people of African descent worldwide during the Main Festival in CPC. It will brings together thought leaders, educators, creatives, business executives, and policymakers to engage in dialogue around cultural identity, economic empowerment, social justice, and development initiatives. The Summit aims to inspire action, forge partnerships, and drive change through panel discussions, keynote addresses, and networking opportunities that emphasize the importance of preserving Black heritage and fostering global progress. (The event will host between 500 each day on 28 and 29 March 2025).
Presidential Investment Dialogue: College Park City and other city mayors and city council members will be hosting a lunch meeting for the President of Ghana to discuss potential partnership and investment opportunities for over a collective financial budget of over 5 billion dollars. (To be hosted in a venue of 300 participants in CPC on the morning of 29 March 2025)
Black History Makers Gala Night is a prestigious event celebrating the achievements and contributions of individuals and organizations who have made significant impacts within the Black community. This elegant evening is the culminating highlight of the Black History Festival, recognizing trailblazers in various sectors such as business, arts, education, and activism. Featuring fashion red carpet experience, keynote speeches, awards presentations, live performances, and a legacy initiative fundraiser, the gala offers a platform for honorees to share their stories, inspire future generations, and strengthen the sense of pride, unity, and cultural identity within the global Black community. (Will host about 500 participants in CPC on 29 March 2025.
