Our Hometown, College Park
The Georgia International Convention Center is owned and operated by the city of College Park, Georgia, a place with all the benefits of a large city and the neighborliness of a small hometown. Originating from a land grant awarded in 1846, College Park has the fourth largest urban historic district in Georgia and is home to the largest independent school in the continental United States, Woodward Academy. Close proximity to Atlanta provides residents and visitors with easy access to colleges and universities, shopping and many points of interest.
In its operations of the GICC, the City of College Park seeks to enhance the quality of life for its community by attracting events that generate a higher standard of living through entertainment, social, political, religious, cultural and educational programming, conducted in a safe, clean and efficiently run public assembly facility.
